The band OUU!D is a collaborative project between the muscians Felix Nussbaumer (IT), Niklaus Mäder (CH) and Noah Punkt (DE) that concerns itself with finding a unique sonic language rooted in, yet beyond the structures and idioms of both Jazz as well as European free improvisation. Drawing influences from contemporary instrumental music, modular ambient drones, and sampling and chopping techniques used in hiphop, they create structures that twitch in unusual grooves, somehow soft and breathing yet machinic, but always weirdly head-boppable, almost like dancing to a fax machine or a printer.
